Three containers fell overboard from the Finnish container vessel Linda early on February 6, when the ship was in the waters between the islands of Gotland and Öland. It is likely that the lowest container in the stack of four collapsed and the three above fell overboard. Parts of the fourth container remained on deck. According to the Swedish Coast Guard, one of the lost containers contains environmentally hazardous chemicals. The Linda is owned by Langh Ship and is on a time charter to Containerships. She was on a voyage from Rotterdam to St. Petersburg.
